Dear sisters in Christ, greetings to you all in Jesus name. In this trusting God series, we are going to meditate on trusting God’s timing.  Ecclesiastes 3:11 says,” He has made everything beautiful in its time”. Yes, we have a God who does everything beautiful, appropriate or suitable in His perfect time. He will neither delay nor be early but will do everything at the exact time. Only thing we need to do is to trust Him and wait upon Him patiently.

We are living in a world where everything needs to be done very fast. We want things to be done quickly and we get impatient if things do not happen the way we need. We try different shortcut methods to achieve them. We see this in the life of Sarah, God promised Abraham in Genesis 15:4-5,” ...but a son who is your own flesh and blood will be your heir. He took him outside and said, “Look up at the sky and count the stars—if indeed you can count them. Then He said to him, “So shall your offspring be”. God promised that He will bless them with a son. The couple were getting old. Sarah couldn’t wait for God’s timing, she became impatient, and she gave her maid servant Hagar to Abraham so that she could bear her a child. Ishmael was born but he was not the promised son. Isaac was born in God’s appointed time. Three visitors meet Abraham and we see in Genesis 18:10, “Then one of them said (thought to be Jesus), “I will surely return to you about this time next year, and Sarah your wife will have a son”. We can learn here that God had a timing to bless the couple. The bible says in Psalm 37: 5-7,” Commit your way to the LORD; trust in Him and He will do this: He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun. Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for Him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes”. We are called to commit our ways to the Lord and put our trust in Him. Let us learn to be still before the Lord and patiently wait for His time. Let us not try to act before God’s timing. He has great plans for our lives. He says in  Jeremiah 29:11” ...  For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”.

Let us wait for the Lord and put all our trust in Him. Habakkuk 2:3 tells us “...For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay”.  Let us tell to God,”... as for me, I trust in You, O Lord, I say, “You are my God.” My times are in Your hand” (Psalm 31:14-15). Let us trust Him and wait for God’s timing. He will do everything perfectly and beautifully in due time.

God bless you all

Your sister in Christ
